Kleophrades Painter - The "Kleophrades Painter" (or Cleophrades Painter) is the name given to an anonymous Athenian vase painter who flourished between about 505 BCE and 475 BCE, whose work is considered to be amongst the finest of the red figure style. The appellation was given him by classicist John Beazley in 1910, who identified the work of this artist on vases by the potter Kleophrades.

Achilles Painter - The Achilles Painter, working from the 460s to the 420s BC, is the pseudonym of an Attic Greek vase-painter of outstanding quality (see Pottery of Ancient Greece), whose refined figure of Achilles on a red-figure amphora of ca. 450–445 BCE in the Vatican Museum inspired Sir John Beazley to name its anonymous draftsman the "Achilles Painter.
